Community Enrichment 2019

Topics: The topics for our Community Enrichment events are based on the 15 quality of life goals.

Target Audience: Each month our target audience shifts as we serve the entire lifespan of those affected by autism.

March 29th 6pm Sensory Friendly Movie & Craft

Join the Autism Society of Alaska for a sensory friendly showing of Ralph Breaks the Internet on March 29th at 6:00pm at the Autism Society of Alaska office 1024 Barnette Street in Fairbanks. There will be crafts to do, toys to play with, and FRESH popcorn to eat! This is a free, low key event in a welcoming environment. Not interested in the movie, that’s okay! This is a great chance for children and adults to socialize as well.

“There’s no one I’d rather be than me!”

Safety Kits

Safety is one of the Autism Society of Alaska’s top priorities. Thanks to GVEA Good Cents Foundation, we will be offering a limited number of safety kits at our Sensory Friendly Movie Event. These kits aim to prevent, reduce, and improve the outcomes of incidents of wandering.

There will be a limited number of safety kits available and one per household, given on a first come first serve basis. Unfortunately at this time, the kits must be picked up in person by the receiving family with no holds. We hope to offer more options in the future.
