WHAT WE NEED: The Autism Society of Alaska is currently seeking additional board members who can contribute to our active board with specific knowledge, skills, and/or personal connections to Autism. We invite interested candidates to complete the application below for consideration by our Nominating Committee.
WHO WE ARE: The Autism Society of Alaska (ASA) is a non-profit organization that offers services to improve the lives of those impacted by autism spectrum disorder across Alaska. Autism is a complex developmental disability that usually appears in the first three years of life. It is considered a “spectrum disorder” that affects three core areas: communication, behavior, and social relationships. The incidence of autism has increased in recent years to an approximate occurrence of 1 in every 68 births.
