Race Administrator


Overview: The Race Administrator oversees, coordinates and implements the Autism Society of Alaska 5K event with the Autism Society of Alaska Board of Directors. Duties include, but are not limited to, responsibility of race timeline duties, race site logistics, team management, and race promotion. 

Position Title: Race Assistant Administrator   

Reports to:  The Autism Society of Alaska’s Executive Committee  

Responsibilities: The temporary hire will work with the Autism Society of Alaska’s Board of Directors and office administrator to assist with the 11th Annual Alaska 5K for Autism as a race administrator. They will follow the development plan for the Alaska 5k for Autism in accordance with the organization’s mission.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


-Personable, detail oriented, organized, with ability to manage multiple tasks.

-Ability to develop strong working relationships with volunteers, donors, and community race partners.

-Efficient in Google Document, Square Reader, Registration Platforms, and is comfortable handling money and has a gmail account. 

-Event planning experience is preferred. 

-Must communicate well orally and in writing.


Primary Responsibilities:

11th Annual Alaska 5K for Autism 


In coordination with the Board of Directors, the race administrator is responsible for the 11th Annual Alaska 5K for Autism in these areas:

o Operations and Logistics

-Act as main contact for Race and registration  and coordinate event day logistics

-Responsible for managing and responding to daily race inquiries

o Registration

-Coordination of registration activities including in-person registration sites

o Teams

-Manage registration teams

o Volunteers

-Responsible for managing Race volunteers

This is part time salary position as the Race Administrator  for the 11th Annual Alaska 5K for Autism.

The Race Administrator oversees, coordinates, and implements the Autism Society of Alaska 5K pre race tasks and race day tasks for the June 1st event. The duties include, but are not limited to, oversight of Race timeline duties, budget management and accountability, Race site logistics, team and sponsorship development, and Race promotion. 


The temporary hire will work with the Autism Society of Alaska’s Board of Directors and office administrator to assist with the 11th Annual Alaska 5K for Autism. They will follow out the development plan for the Alaska 5k for Autism in accordance with the organization’s mission.
